Quick change toolholder - set with 1 x base body and 4 holders for lathe steels up to 20 mm
Intended use
With a quick-change steel holder, different tools, e.g. turning steels or boring bars, can be clamped for a quick change. For this purpose, the turning tool is clamped in the toolholder and aligned to the correct height (center of the spindle). The set height is secured by means of a lock nut. This means that the next time the toolholder is inserted, the turning tool is immediately set to the center again. The annoying and time-consuming underlaying of the turning tool to achieve the correct height is no longer necessary.

Description
Does it take you what feels like an eternity to get the tool right every time you change a turning tool? Then a quick-change toolholder system is just what you need!
Saving time
.
Usually, various tools are also required for the machining of different workpieces. The tool must be set to the correct position in each case for this. The "Multifix" quick-change system eliminates such tedious setting work. The system helps you to have all necessary turning tools ready for use at any time. You set the desired height for your turning tool once and, if necessary, have to readjust it a little later.
Number of necessary steel holders
.
It is best to buy a separate steel holder for each frequently used chisel. You will soon forget the expense of this due to the time saved and in view of our very favorable prices.
Our size recommendation
.
With us you receive the quick change system in all usual sizes (Aa, Ab, A, E ,B and C). To find the right system size for your machine, the top slide width (L) and the dimension "s" (= height of the top edge of the top slide to the center of the spindle) are the most important specifications. We recommend size A for a top slide width of 75 to 95 mm. Compare your dimension with the specifications of our quick-change systems. Usually, a comparison of the top slide width is sufficient. We also have suitable mounting sets for paulimot lathes in our product range. Please contact us if you are not sure which size you need due to special features on your lathe.

Determining your system size
.
If you already have a Multifix system, you can very quickly tell what size it is. The designation of the quick-change holders consists in each case of a letter-number combination. The first letter of the toolholder stands for the system size (here: size A), the second for the type of holder (e.g. "D" = flat holder for turning tools). The first number (e.g. 20) indicates the maximum turning tool height in mm. The second number (e.g. 90) can be used to read the length of the holder.
