The lead screw lathe is equipped with a powerful, brushless drive motor. The new motor technology ensures higher torque than comparable DC motors in all speed ranges. As a result, maximum torque and power are transferred to the workpiece, especially in the low speed ranges. This makes parting off and thread cutting much easier.

Another positive effect of the new drive technology is that the high torque in the low speed ranges eliminates the need for a changeover gearbox. This makes the machine significantly quieter in operation. In addition, fewer wear parts are engaged, which makes the machine generally low-maintenance.

The standard, covered lead screw makes it possible to produce threads with pitches from 0.25 to 3.0 mm.
In addition, the SC4 has an automatic feed for both longitudinal turning and facing. This allows clean, precise turning operations to be realized.
